Turbo gauge is a meter that measures the boost pressure (positive pressure) of turbochargers and superchargers used in turbo engines. It can also measure negative pressure, which responds sensitively to engine conditions. It is also called a boost gauge.
Downsizing turbocharged engine technology is becoming more widespread in both gasoline and diesel automobiles and is also being used in sports car engines. The latest turbines (turbo chargers) have a higher maximum boost pressure and play a more important role. By using a turbo meter to check whether the engine is being properly boosted, you can visualize the engine condition.
The full scale of the turbo gauge has three settings: 120 kPa, 200 kPa, and 300 kPa. Before purchasing a turbo gauge, check the set pressure (maximum boost pressure) of your automobile. For example, if your vehicle has a maximum boost pressure of 180 kPa, you may want to choose a 300 kPa scale instead of 200 kPa. By using within approximately 80% of the meter scale, you will be able to see changes more easily in boost pressure and enjoy the response and smooth gauge movement that only Defi can provide.
Intake manifold pressure gauge is a meter that measures the pressure inside the intake manifold of a naturally aspirated engine vehicle. It is commonly called a vacuum gauge.
Defi’s intake manifold gauge is different from conventional vacuum gauges in that it has not only a negative pressure scale but also a positive pressure scale, which allows it to measure the inertial boost pressure (ram pressure) that utilizes the wind while driving. It is useful for visually checking the performance of the intake manifold, which generates ram pressure, and the air cleaner, an aftermarket part that actively takes in the wind while driving.
Using a turbo gauge or intake manifold gauge, the condition of the engine can be efficiently checked by focusing on the scale on the negative pressure side (the part indicating that the engine intake pressure is lower than atmospheric pressure).

The optimal pressure will vary depending on the settings and parts installed, so please consider the listed numbers as a guide only.
Also, please be careful not to confuse the maximum value of boost pressure with overshoot (a phenomenon in which boost pressure rises momentarily above the set value). The value displayed by the peak hold function (maximum value redisplay function) is the boost pressure at the time of overshoot.
When installing the sensor, avoid installing it near a heat source as much as possible, and choose a well-ventilated place that will not get wet. Depending on the car, the space in the engine compartment may be limited and difficult to install it. In such cases, please consult with your dealer.
