This installation manual is intended specifically for the Sports
V.S.D. The company is not liable for any damages or injury due to
improper installation of the Sports V.S.D., including failure to
follow the instructions provided herein and/or installation of the
product on vehicles other than those listed herein as compatible
with the Sports V.S.D.
Prior to purchase, please refer to this manual to determine the
compatibility of the Sports V.S.D. unit with your vehicle.
Please read the entire installation manual prior to commencing
the installation process.
Please follow the instructions in this manual. The purpose of the
manual is to provide you with all the information that you need
to install the product.
In order to prevent an accident, which could result in personal
injury, death or damage to the product or vehicle, please give special
attention to the portions of this manual where the following symbols
are used.
Please read the manual carefully where the words " WARNING"
and " CAUTION" appear. Failure to do so may result in
damage to the product or vehicle or personal injury.

NEVER dismantle or re-assemble the product. This
could damage the product and make it unsafe to use. Tampering
with the product renders the limited warranty void. |
|
Do not use Speed Governor Release function on
Toyota ECT vehicles. This may result in serious damage to the
vehicle. |
|
Speed Governor Release is not applicable to the
vehicles other than those using the vehicle speed sensor signal
for the speed governing fundion. |
|
Use Speed Governor Release and Drag Race Mode
in only closed tracks that are set up for racing. It is the
violation of the law to use these functions in public places
and roads. |
|
Do not stare at the gauges or manipulate the functions
of the control unit while driving. Distractions could lead to
an accident. |
|
|
|
To prevent damage to the product, please adhere
to the following guidelines. |
|
Do not drop the product. |
|
Do not allow the product to be exposed to moisture. |
|
Do not pull on the product's wiring. |
|
Do not use water or cleaning fluids
on the display unit. |
|
|
|
The speedometer and tachometer display on the
Sports V.S.D. are for reference purposes only. Please drive
according to the vehicle's original equipment manufacturer instruments. |
|
After installation, if any of the fittings or
screws on the product come loose, please tighten them gently.
Using too much force when tightening screws may damage the product. |
|
The speedometer can be used only with vehicles
equipped with engine control units (ECUs) utilizing 2, 4, 8
and 16 pulse per rev speed sensors. It cannot be used on vehicles
without a speed sensor or ECU. |
|
The Sports V.S.D. can be used only on 3, 4, 5,
6 and 8 cylinder vehicles with 4 cycle engine. It cannot be
used on diesel vehicles. |
|
|
|
|
|
The instructions in this manual must be followed
carefully when handling or installing the product. |
|
Prior to commencing installation of the Sports
V.S.D., make sure the vehicle ignition is OFF and remove the
key from the ignition switch. Disconnect the negative( - ) battery
terminal. Failure to follow these steps may result in a short
circuit and/or fire causing damage to the product or vehicle
or electrical shock and injury. |
|
Use the solderless connectors provided with the
kit to attach wires and insulate all connections. Failure to
follow this step may result in a short circuit and/or fire. |
|
To prevent a short circuit and/or fire, please
adhere to the following guidelines.
*Use the electrical tape to completely insulate any wires that
are not in use.
*Prior to commencing installation of the Sports V.S.D., disconnect
the negative(-) battery terminal. |
|
To prevent malfunction, please adhere to the following
guidelines.
*Never connect the GND(ground) wire to the ground wires from
a stering wheel or a brake system.
*Do not attach wiring to the vehicle's body. |
|
To prevent malfunctioning, this product must be
installed inside the vehicle.
Do not attach the control unit on the instrument panels. |
|
Do not attach the display unit where it may obstruct
driver's visibility. |
|
|
|
This product is designed for use only on vehicles
with 12V electrical systems. NEVER install the V.S.D.II on 24V
vehicles. |
|
Do not use wires other than the wires included
with the product. If the wiring provided is insufficient, please
purchase more wire of the same quality and gauge. |
|
Completely insulate any unused wires with electrical
tape. If wires or connectors loosen or disconnect during installation,
please make sure that they are correctly reattached. |
|
Do not install the control unit where it may be
exposed to moisture, dust, or direct sunlight. Do not place
the product directly in front of or near the vehicle's heater
vents. |
|
If the negative( - ) battery terminal
is disconnected, data stored in other electronic instruments
in the vehicle, such as clocks or radios, may be lost. Please
remember to reset equipment according to the original manufacturer's
manuals after installation of the product. |
|
|
|
Prior to commencing installation of the Sports
V.S.D., make sure the vehicle ignition and headlights are OFF. |
|
After installation of the Sports V.S.D., make
sure to keep this manual for future reference.
