Before using the product, you will need to set the product modes to correspond to the specifications of your vehicle. If not, the product will fail to operate. If you disconnect the battery, you will need to set the product modes again.
SETTING MODE
SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER SETTINGS
Select the Speedometer/Tachometer mode using the switch. Press the switch and hold it for more than 2 seconds. The initial setting mode will then be activated.

Above different modes can be selected by pressing the switch. Then, the preset values can be changed by pressing the switch. If you press the switch again and hold it for more than 2 seconds, the unit returns to normal mode.

< Speedometer Pulse Type >
Speedometer pulse type varies with the model of the vehicle and normally the number of pulses of the vehicle is 4 pulse. Most Nissan vehicles have 2 pulse speedometers although the Nissan Y32 Cedric, Gloria and Cima have 16 pulse speedometers.

Please ask your local dealer if you are not sure of the speedometer pulse type of your vehicle.

TIME SETTING
1. Press the switch to select the clock mode and select it.
2. Press and hold the switch for more than 2 seconds and "Hour" increment will blink. Then, press the switch to adjust the "Hour."
3. Press the switch again and "Minute" increment will blink. Press the switch to adjust the "Minute".
4. Press and hold the switch for more than 2 seconds again to exit the time setting mode.

NORMAL MODE
Modes changes each time the switch is pressed.



SPEEDOMETER/TACHOMETER(SP-TA) MODE

The speed value is displayed digitally while the value of tachometer is displayed on the FLT (Fluorescent Tubing) bar.

If the speed warning value is exceeded; Yellow LED lights. If the tachometer warning value is exceeded; Red LED lights.

DRAG RACE(ZERO FOUR) MODE

*If the switch is pressed at the initial value, "0.00", the countdown will start before
3 seconds.
*When the countdown reaches "0.00" on the display, time measurement will begin.
*When the time measurement interval has elapsed, driving time and highest recorded speed are displayed in sequence.
*If the switch is pressed again, time measurement will begin.
*The FLT (Fluorescent Tubing) bar on the display turns off by 100 meters.
*If the vehicle begin to move before the countdown reaches "0.00", a premature buzzer sounds and
no measurement occurs.




< How to confirm your best time records. >
The best three of driving times are stored and updated in memory of the unit.
*Each time the switch is pressed, the best three driving times are displayed .
If the switch is pressed, the value is reset to the initial value, "0.00".
* The best three driving times can be cleared if the switch is pressed and held for more than 2 seconds.

CLOCK MODE

The current time is displayed. (Please refer to Time Setting described above.)
The FLT (Fluorescent Tubing) bar displays the value of the tachometer.

ELAPSED TIME(HOUR METER) MODE

*If the switch is pressed at the initial value, "0.00", the colon on the display will blink
and the time elapsed since the engine of your vehicle is started will be calculated.
*If the switch is pressed again, the calculation will stop and restart.
*If the switch is pressed and held for more than 2 seconds, the value on the display will be reset to "0.00" (the colon lights on ).
The FLT (Fluorescent Tubing) bar displays the tachometer value.

TRIP MILEAGE AND TRIP COUNTDOWN MILEAGE MODES

Each time the switch is pressed, Trip Mileage Mode and Trip Countdown Mileage Mode displays in sequence.


< Trip Mileage Mode >
Trip mileage is displayed in 0.1 km increments.
*If the mileage displayed exceeds more than 999.99 km, mileage is then displayed in 1 km increments from 1000 km.
*If the mileage displayed exceeds more than 9999 km, the value of the mileage reverts to be added every 0.1 km increments from 0.0 km.
* If the switch is pressed and held for more than 2 seconds, the trip mileage will be reset to "0.00".

< Trip Countdown Mileage Mode >
*If the switch is pressed and held for more than 2 seconds, the countdown mark on the display will start to blink.
*Press the switch to set the distance of the countdown mileage in 10 km increments. *If the UP/DOWN switch is pressed continuously, the countdown mileage changes in 100 km increments.


If the countdown mileage is more than 1000 km, each time the switch is pressed, the setting distance changes every 100 km.
*The countdown mileage can be set every 1000 km if the UP/DOWN switch is pressed continuously.
*If the SET/CLR switch is pressed once, the instrument will exit from the setting mode.

When the countdown mileage reaches "0.0 km" in TRIP 1 mode, the internal frame on the display light, the countdown mark blinks and a buzzer sounds three times to indicate the end of the countdown.
*In TRIP 2, the light of the internal frame on the display goes off.
*The countdown mark blinks and a buzzer sounds five times to indicate the end of the mileage countdown.
(Applicable to all MODES other than 0 to 400 Mode)


Please note that Section 25269 of the California Vehicle Code provides that " no person shall display a steady burning red warning light on a vehicle," except as may otherwise be provided herein. The exceptions permitting red lights apply to emergency vehicles and other situations that are not be applicable to the V.S.D. instruments. Other states have similar prohibitions in their respective vehicle codes.

Note that the V.S.D. display unit projects light upwards upon the transparent screen, so that the image can be reflected into the driver's line of sight. In some situations, it is possible that the light from the LEDs of the display unit may be visible to a person located in front of the vehicle, either because the angle at which the display unit is mounted on the dashboard or because the angle of the dashboard is inclined towards the front of the vehicle.

If this is the case, the applicable regulatory authorities might interpret the use of the V.S.D. display unit to be a violation of California Vehicle Code Section 25269 or other state vehicle codes.
