Wiring between the control unit of After Idle Timer and Boost V.S.D.
*Check the upper and lower sides of the 9P connector from the control unit of After Idle Timer.
Insert the 9P connector securely in the socket of the control unit of the Boost-V.S.D.

When removing the connector, do not pull on the tube. Hold the wires and pull gently.
How to wire the parking brake
This control unit detects the condition of the parking brake and suspends the operation of the timer in the following situations ;
*If the parking brake is not set, the timer does not function.
*If the parking brake is released during the operation of the timer, the timer is turned off.

If there is only one wire to the parking brake;
  1. Remove any covers so that the parking brake switch is accessible.
2. As there is a wire from the parking brake switch, connect the blue wire from the After Idle Timer to that wire with a solderless connector.

If there are two wires to the parking brake;
  1. Push on the brake pedal when the ignition is turned off.
2. Holding the brake pedal and using a volt meter, locate a wire that reads 12V when the parking brake is released and that reads about 0V when the parking brake is set.
3. Connect blue wires from the After Idle Timer to the wire located above with a solderless connector.

Note: If your parking brake is located on the steering column or a pedal type brake, the same wiring procedures apply.

FINAL INSPECTION AFTER INSTALLATION
After installation, please perform the following tests;
AUTO MODE TEST
*Set the Auto mode to the preferred mode.
*Confirm that the timer begins to count down when the ignition key is turned OFF and that the engine turns off when the count reaches "0.00".
MANUAL MODE TEST
*Set the after idle timer to the Manual mode.
*Turn the ignition key to ON and set the after idling time.
*Confirm that the after idle timer starts the countdown when the ignition key is turned OFF and that the engine turns off when the count reaches "0.00".
PARKING BRAKE TEST
* After setting the parking brake, turn the ignition key ON and hold the ignition key ON for a few seconds.
*If the timer starts a countdown when the ignition key turned OFF, release the parking brake and confirm that the engine turns off.
