INSTALLATION

How long does it ordinarily take to install the Boost-V.S.D.?

It will generally take approximately 60 minutes to complete the installation although it may take longer or less time depending upon the configuration of your vehicle.

On which vehicles can the Boost-V.S.D. be installed?

The product can be used for the vehicles with a normal and turbo gasoline engines, and diesel turbo engines.

Can the After Idle Timer be installed on all models of vehicles?

The After Idle Timer can be installed on most vehicles if you obtain wires suitable for connecting the unit to your vehicle.

The After Idle Timer cannot function if the Boost-V.S.D. is not also installed on the vehicle.

If your vehicle is a Nissan with an automatic transmission, please use appropriate wires and an ignition lock relay adapter sold by FET Far East Co.Ltd.

Do I need wiring for the Boost-V.S.D.?

Yes. In addition, you will need tubing to attach the control unit to the pressure sensor.



TECHNICAL

Does the Boost-V.S.D. have a function to increase the boost pressure level?

No.

Will the Boost-V.S.D. be influenced by a location of the power supply point?

No. The accuracy of the instrument is not changed as long as at least 12V is provided to the product.

Why is the different boost pressure displayed when my vehicle shifts into different gears ?

The boost pressure changes with variations in other factors such as a temperature, acceleration and so on.

How does the After Idle Timer set the timer in Auto Mode?

In Auto Mode, the After Idle Timer monitors the intake manifold pressure of the engine. When the load on the vehicle's engine is increased, the timer increases the idling time after the ignition is turned off.

The time settings can be selected from the following three modes;
Short (S) Mode
Medium (M) Mode
Long (L) Mode

What is the maximum time period for the After Idle Timer?

It is 9 minutes 50 seconds.
