| Do I need
wiring for the product ? |
Yes. You need wiring for IGN(power), GND(ground), SP(speedometer)
signal and TA(tachometer) signal from the ECU(Engine Computer
Unit) of your vehicle.
|
| Can the product be installed on
all models of vehicles ? |
The product can be installed on certain models of 4
cycles 3, 4, 5 and 6 cylinder vehicles. However, the Tachometer
display cannot be used on diesel engine vehicles.
|
| Can the product be installed on
vehicles without an ECU ? |
The product cannot be installed on vehicles where a
SP signal is not available at the ECU, unless the vehicle
is equipped with an aftermarket SP sensor.
|
| I have a diesel vehicle. Will
SP work ? |
Yes, if the SP signal is connected to the ECU.
|
| Why doesn't the TA tachometer
display function work on diesel vehicles ? |
This is because diesel vehicles have no spark plugs,
so there is no standard electrical signal output. (Some
recent diesel vehicles have electronic controls.)
|
| Is it possible to install the
product on vehicles without a tachometer ? |
If the tachometer signal can be obtained from the ECU,
it is possible.
|
|
| Can the product be used on cars
if their computers have been replaced ? |
It may be possible to obtain an SP signal from a replacement
ECU. We are uncertain whether the TA signal cannot be
interpreted on some replacement ECUs. ( From our tests,
we have found that there is some malfunctioning. )
|
| Can the product be used on cars
with a modified ignition system ? |
It depends on what parts have been changed. Generally,
it can be used if the ignition system has not been altered.
However, the company will not be held responsible for
any problems arising from use of our products in a vehicle
with modified ignition systems.
|
| I obtain SP signal from my navigation
system ; can I use the signal from there
? |
We cannot guarantee proper functioning of the product
by taking an SP signal from the navigation system.
|
| Why has the Auto light(headlight
controller) stopped functioning after installing
V.S.D.II ? |
Using both accessories places an increased load on
the point of the vehicle electrical system where the product
is attached which may result in failure of other devices.
We recommend the use of either accessory separately.
|
| When SP(TA) display is not needed,
must the SP or TA wire be attached to the ECU leads?
|
| No. |
